We don’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to sharing what we’ve been up to with you all - oops! Sorry! It may have taken us three months, but we’re no less proud to share a couple of happy snaps from our Mental Health Week event in October last year.

On Monday October 8, we hosted 2 x Mental Health workshops for some lovely and special people we’ve been lucky to connect with over the years.

Popping up in the beautiful space that used to be Polish in Ripponlea, our head florist Kate worked her floral magic to create series of floral installations - using a LJH fave, Gerladton Wax - to welcome our lucky guests. Our morning crew were greeted with delicious home made treats by our gorgeous friend Mel From My Little Kitchen, including serotonin boosting banana smoothies and bircher muesli jars (made in the same jars we arrange our #littlejarsofhappiness in!), while our afternoon guests grazed on a beautiful platter made by Gusto Grazing.

Once again, we were lucky to be guided by the wonderful Dr. Jacqueline Baulch, Clinical Psychologist and Director of Inner Melbourne Clinical Psychology, who took us through some practical mindfulness exercises and some really powerful exercises around addressing our own self talk.

We shared stories, coping strategies and personal experiences (along with a few tears!) and discussed the ways in which we can continue to encourage and support open and honest conversations about mental health. And of course it wouldn’t be a LJH event without all our lovely attendees taking home a special #littlejarofhappiness, along with a ‘Here Comes the Sun’ card and enamel pin to gift to a friend who needs a little pick-me-up.

Heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes out to the team of lovely ladies who help us bring these events together time after time, without whom they would definitely not be possible.

Lauren from The Vibe Tribe. You are a treasure. Thank you for organising, styling, troubleshooting, sharing and the million other ways you contributed to making this day a success.

Mel From My Little Kitchen. Your generosity is second to none lovely lady, thank you for giving us your time, your warmth and your beautiful food (and photography skills!)

Jacq from Inner Melbourne Clinical Psychology. Your passion for mental health, sharing your knowledge and encouraging people to heal and hope and love and grow is inspiring. We are so lucky to work with you.

And the wonderful team from Happy Lion Films for creating the beautiful little video above!
